LEARNING PLACEMENT AND PRECISION in climbing

A two-day climbing course in the heart of Corsica, in Corte, to improve your positioning, gain confidence and become precise in your movements while remaining perfectly calm.
Of course, we'll also look at how to deal with falls when climbing and learn how to belay dynamically and appropriately. After all, to improve your skills, you need to be able to climb without fear.

2 DAYS ON THE CLIFFS OF CENTRAL CORSICA, RESTONICA VALLEY

The climbing cliffs of the Restonica Valley and central Corsica

I’ll accompany you on these two days of rock climbing, to help you improve the precision of your use of holds and perfect your movements on the rock. You’ll need to know the basics of rock climbing and have a level of around 5b (5.9) to get the most out of these two days of sport climbing on various Corsican crags.

I like

  • A two day climbing course.
  • We climb on different cliffs with different types of rock.
  • A programme for everyone, whatever your level.
  • I’m always in charge 😊.
  • Small groups limited to four people
  • Hire of all technical equipment
  • Electric bikes can be hired to get around the crags.

1st day
We start by assessing your fear of falling when climbing and your knowledge of dynamic belaying. Once these fears are allayed, we focus on foot placement and use. Granite is an excellent rock for learning to climb technically rather than powerfully.
First contact with the famous Corsican granite on an introductory crag. We climb slabs to familiarise ourselves with outdoor climbing, relearn how to use our feet without looking for ‘coloured holds’, vary our balance and test our relationship with verticality. We then climb other types of routes, such as beautiful dihedrals or more overhanging routes for the more experienced climbers. Throughout the day we will test our technical knowledge of how to climb and fall safely.
After an exhausting first day, we choose the most beautiful café terrace!
2nd day
Today we make a radical change of style by choosing a limestone crag. The climbing style is more conventional as the holds are easier to use. You’ll enjoy your progress and you’ll notice that you’re doing the routes with a more varied movement; you’ll get to the top without tiring!
We continue to work on the fall in climbing, with a technical training that will free you from mental anxiety, on more overhanging routes.
In the evening, we will enjoy a refreshing beer on a terrace in Cortenaise.

At a time to suit you.
