The Altipiani climbing crag is where it all began. We equipped the first sector, Ciucciu, which means ‘little child’ in Corsican, in 2010.
After a few years of hibernation, we decided to resume the equipping of Ciucciu by adding some new routes. We opened the second climbing sector, la Terre du Milieu, and other sectors: le Col, U Fulettu, Titi Land, and the adventure continued.
The first meeting with the Orgues took place in 2022.
I wanted to reserve this sector for friends who climbed in Corsica and elsewhere. The women’s crag had just been born.
After trying out a few routes and discussing them, the work began. We spent several weekends and other days transporting equipment, cleaning, drilling and setting up.
The first results: we have a varied climbing area, with easy routes, more difficult ones up to 7a, but above all a rock face on beautifully sculpted granite, typical of the Restonica valley.
I hope that this climbing crag will make you dream as much as it makes us happy to equip it for women. The work will resume this winter and we’re now in phase 2 😊 Les Orgues should be operational in late spring 2025… A crag to watch…
The first five equipped climbing routes on the left in the Altipiani les Orgues sector range from 5 to 6b.
If you’d like to take part (except in July and August), please contact me.
