Where to climb in Sardinia?
Which cliffs to climb?
I do a search on my computer: Where to climb in Sardinia? The best cliffs to climb in Sardinia'.
And here I am at Cala Gonone.
Indeed, Cala Gonone is a must-see climbing spot, just like Kalymnos in Greece, Siruana and Margalef in Spain, the Peak District in the UK and many other climbing spots that our search engines show us when we press the 'Enter' key.
Cliff climbing in Sardinia means limestone, strange basalt and many other surprises.
Our Sardinian cliff climbing tour will be full of discoveries. The route is dotted with cliffs and nuraghes, prehistoric towers that reach up to the sky and tell the story of Sardinia, a land of giants.
We'll be near Sassari with its famous cliffs, Roccadoria-Monteleone, Capo Caccia...
Sardinia is Corsica’s nearest neighbour. Only a few kilometres separate Bonifacio in Corsica from Santa Teresa di Gallura in Sardinia. Different landscapes await us there, an island where prehistory is still visible with its nuraghes, towers that could resemble those we have in Corsica. They are 3,000 years apart, built in Sardinia between the XVI and VII centuries BC and in Corsica between the XV and XVII centuries AD.
You will also discover the second country of the ewe (milk sheep). In fact, Sardinia is the region with the most ewes (wool and milk sheep). However, the top of the podium is reserved for another region: the land of traditional climbing, Wales. But beware, in Sardinia they are always accompanied by the shepherd dog, the Dogo sardo, which we will be watching from afar, even from a great distance.
As with all my trips, my aim is to combine climbing with the discovery of a different environment, be it cultural, gastronomic or sporting.
Climbing in Sardinia means discovering cliffs by the sea or inland, with completely different climbing styles depending on the type of rock.

Sardinia is an island where life is good and people are welcoming. Its history is omnipresent, its rocks are surprising, its cliffs are ideal for climbing and its sea is always close.
Je vous répondrai aussi rapidement que possible. Je suis parfois accroché à une corde ou au pied d'une falaise. Merci de votre patience si la réponse n'est pas instantanée. En espérant vous voir très prochainement en Corse, sur un rocher. Agnès
